Fans and filters assist in keeping the air clean and fresh in our homes, schools and buildings. Fans push the air around; filters snag dust, pollen and other small particles. We can make sure that the air we breathe is healthy and safe by tending to our fans and filters.
Keeping fans and changing filters in them (and it’s handy to clean them, too) running nicely is important. Fans are blocked by dust and dirt, they won’t be able to move air around. Dirty or aged filters fail to capture harmful particles. Looking after fans and filters is one way to reduce allergies, asthma and other breathing problems.
When selecting a heatsink fan, consider the size of your space. A small room might require a small fan and filter, and a big room might require a big one. It’s a good idea, as well, to select fans and filters that are easy to untangle and rewash. Find ones that are rugged and will last.
Fan and filter technology has evolved tremendously and is now far superior than it had been in the past. And the fans and filters of today are far more efficient at pushing air around and catching particles. Some even have sensors capable of detecting when the air is dirty and responding accordingly to clean it. Through new technology, we can make the air inside our homes and businesses healthier.
Fans and filters can be inefficient sometimes. If a fan is not running correctly or is making noise or no air is blowing, it could be clogged with debris. Perhaps cleaning the fan blades and surrounding area might help. If a filter is dirty or dated, it could need to be replaced. Be sure to clean or replace fans and filters as directed.
